Cat Hunting 11/4/2019

Monday we got a haircut from a member. Later we went to a trunk or treat from the branch (mini ward) which was freezing cold. I went as a Man in Black.

Tuesday we went to the Hospital to fix the bill from last time we went. Apparently the hospital had goofed and failed to send the entire bill to the church so they could actually pay for most of it. After that, we went to the DI and did service there. Then we went to a rehearsal for a zone conference musical number for Elder W and 3 others. Dinner we got taken to Barbacoa which is basically a Utah Chipotle which was pretty good. That evening we had a meeting with the Stake Young Men's president about and idea we had for an activity. The temperature was 10 degrees with wind chill.

Service we went to the food pantry and helped people put their food in their cars. for dinner we went to the G's who we ate with the 2nd day of my mission. They told me I was a lot more relaxed this time. Then we had a great discussion about general conference. We then went and contacted a referral we got from the YSA sisters. The person was across the hall from a family we had visited a decent amount. We had knocked on their door at least once but they were never there when we did. Oh well. Then we had a meeting with the Stake Young Women's President and her husband about the activity we are planning.

Thursday was weird. It was Halloween. We had District Counsel in the morning which was great as usual. Then we went and got Subway for lunch before another practice for zone conference. Then we went to give someone a blessing but the person wasn't there. We did some studying until a member dropped off Wendy's for dinner. We then went to the Temple which was awesome. I got to see a bunch of people that I was with in the MTC as well as Elder K (sorry, no pictures in the temple) and my mission grandpa and uncle (my trainer's trainer and his new trainee). Apparently we just missed Sister Bingham (General Relief Society President).

In the morning we went and helped someone move. Then we brought someone who is leaving on his mission to Tahiti in two weeks to a lesson. The person wasn't there so we went and talked to a less active guy nearby (the fresh milk guy). I am a Plinko champion. We then had dinner with a person who wants to be baptized and her mom and grandma. We got to know them and hopefully we will start teaching her soon.

Sunday we went to 3 sacrament meetings and bore my testimony in one. We went to teach a lesson to a family but they forgot (we ended up seeing them later and they were super embarrassed which was hilarious). Then we had a lesson with 2 recent converts. We talked about the Book of Mormon and the importance of it. We showed them a video and read the last part of President Monson's 2nd to last talk and bore our testimony of the Book of Mormon and committed them to read it everyday. The spirit was there super strong.

Miracle of the Week: We didn't die. we were biking somewhere and a car was turning out of a neighborhood and a car was turning in. Neither of them looked to see if anyone was on the sidewalk so Elder W almost got hit by 2 cars in rapid succession. I managed to brake and stop before slamming into the first car. Funnily enough, one of the people that almost had hit us had given us a ride about 2 hours earlier.

This week's random sentence has to do with carnivals.

Quote of the Week:"He's a military weatherman. He's a weatherman for the military."
