I eat 12 donuts in a week 10/28/2019


Monday evening we had a doughnut party at a members house and I had 6 home made doughnuts which were amazing.


Tuesday we went an washed windows for an couple. Their windows hadn't been washed it over 20 years or something like that. Then we helped them tear up their blackberry bushes. Afterwards they got us Wendy's which was nice. We then went and visited H who Elder G and I met a couple weeks ago. We knocked on the door and her mom answered. Her mom isn't supportive of the church and wanted to make sure H really wanted to meet with us so she told us she would text us. Then after dinner, we went and visited some people with B. Then on the way to return a bowl that the M's gave us dinner in, I got a flat tire so we had to get a nearby member to drive us back.

Wednesdsay we went to the food pantry and helped give the food out to the people who came. Then we went with Elder G and Elder Cto a lesson and gave a mock baptismal interview to someone. It was fun biking with 3 other elders. Dinner was awesome. We talked about people they knew. The mom told us about finding her biological family and one of them who is moving to Utah soon. The dad had a friend who said he wasn't ready to learn about the church. I told him to go to the temple and the spirit was super strong. Then we went to branch mutual.

After fixing my bike Thursday, we went and raked leaves. we made a big pile of leaves and jumped in them. For dinner we had a doughnut burger. They grilled doughnuts and put in a burger, fried egg, guacamole, bacon, and a tomato. We had a lesson with R where we talked about the articles of faith and we gave him the triple combination that we got him.

Friday we had multidistrict counsel. We talked about our need to invite with urgency. We also talked about teaching with power so that people cannot disbelieve our words. We went by H but she wasn't there. We then followed a referral and met a lady named A. She is between living situations but she wanted to meet with us. Then we had dinner and went to the end of a trunk or treat.
 
Saturday morning we helped a member pour and mix concrete. We had to lug 80lb bags of concrete down some stairs which was hard. Later we had a lesson with R about Faith and Repentance. Then we invited her to go to the special stake conference. Then we had a lesson with L about the 10 commandments. During the lesson. The temperature dropped it felt like 10 degrees.

Sunday we had stake conference with Elder Gary E Stevenson of the Quorum of the 12 Apostles. R came as well which was great. Then we gave a ministering presentation and invited one of their daughters to invite someone to church that had been on our minds recently.

Miracle if the week: We had been trying to get in contact with someone for a while and we were walking and he was moving. We were able to help him move and get his number to set up a time to meet.

  Monday night we had a lesson with L and W which went great! Afterwards we were walking home and we saw two people next to their cars with a bunch of stuff on the sidewalk. It turns out they were leaving where they lived so we helped pack everything they needed into their car. Tuesday we helped a lady move. Fortunately we has called a member who we have been meeting with to help us out which was inspired since he used to work at a moving company and was super helpful and there wasn't many of us there. There was a total of 5 of us so it took a while but we got everything. In the evening we had another lesson with L and W where we talked about the 10 commandments. Wednesday we went on exchanges. I went with our district leader Elder N. We did service helping clean things up after the massive rain storm Sunday caused some flooding. Tuesday morning we had district council and afterwards we gave Elder C a blessing. He has Bronchitis and aint nobody got time for that. After lunch we went and helped set up the Gs Christmas lights. we also got a Christmas tree from a member who got a new one and didn't want theirs anymore. Wednesday we went to the food pantry and sorted food for a while. Then we ate and watched more the Face to Face with Elder Gong. We had the Stake Youth Activity that we have been working on for a while. We talked about things that we wish we knew before our missions and then answered a bunch of their questions. That was a lot of fun and some people said they really appreciated the things we said. Elder C's Bronchitis turned into Pneumonia and so Elder G went with me to a lesson with a girl named Gracie while Elder W stayed with Elder C. We talked about who Jesus Christ is and about why he is so important to all of us. After dinner we talked about the Restoration with the family ...

Headed Home! 8-23-2021

I'll be finishing up my mission tomorrow and will be flying home Tuesday. Things came together and J was able to baptized on Sunday. We were so excited and she was super ready to make that covenant.
