I Attend Young Womens 2/10/2020


Tuesday we went and visited V and chatted with her for a little before visiting some other people. In
the evening we had a lesson with J with President Call where we talked about the Restoration. Then we ran and taught a boy also about the Restoration.

Wednesday we had a lesson with C where we taught her the Restoration using Jenga and showed her the baptismal font. We then went by C and gave him a blessing because he wasn't feeling well. 

Thursday we had district council and I gave a training which was a review of zone conference (which was what happened Wednesday last week). Then Elder Sh had an interview with President Call and I hung out and chatted with Sister Call for a while. In the evening we went visited with Annabelle and read some of the Book of Mormon with her. As we were leaving, her dad asked us if we could take his car and some money and buy him milk which I thought was the weirdest thing ever (which we declined).

Friday we went to have a lesson with C but he forgot so we rescheduled for the evening. We came back in the evening and he was interviewed to see if he was ready for baptism and he passed! His mom asked for a blessing after so we gave her one. Then we stopped by K and set up a time to come back and have a lesson.
 
Saturday we went by L but he wasn't there. We went by M and we set up a time to go by later and have a lesson. At dinner, we had a great conversation about people that they knew and they gave us 4 people to go visit which was awesome. After, we went and visited a bishop and talked to some people we are teaching and asked him for some help.

Sunday we went the first half of a church before running over to a senior center and spoke in the church meeting that they had. After that, we went and taught a lesson to 30ish young women. It was weird because we would ask a question that was super simple and we would get 30 blank stares. Someone we are teaching came and she ended up giving the most answers of anyone which was awesome and sad at the same time. In the evening, we went talked to an older couple about family history for a while.

Headed Home! 8-23-2021

I'll be finishing up my mission tomorrow and will be flying home Tuesday. Things came together and J was able to baptized on Sunday. We were so excited and she was super ready to make that covenant. Just another email about conference 4/6/2020

Fun story: I just got a call and I have been called to be a District Leader (in charge of a small group of missionaries) and they added another stake to our area as well. Shout out to Elder K for being a district leader as well!! This week was pretty interesting. The beginning we we didn't have much to do and it was kinda miserable. However, the second half of the week we were like screw it, we are going to work hard because we have nothing else to do. As that happened, we saw that we were both much more happier and a lot less depressed. I we had more lessons with people as well as the chance to talk to some of my friends (y'all) about the church as well which awesome to see them and talk about what brings me happiness. General Conference was Saturday and Sunday and it was fantastic. Last General Conference we were told that this one was going to be not only memorable but unforgettable and boy did they pull out all the stops. Went our church building and watched ...

Handcuffs, a Salon and lots of Ice Cream 7-20-2021

Monday night they had a BBQ across the street and a the police came and did a presentation and gave tours of some of their vehicles. They also would cuff you if you wanted.   Tuesday we crashed a youth activity and the young women were doing a salon so we joined in an get masks and had my toenails painted.    Wednesday we rearranged our bedroom a little to give more space for our beds which ended up working out well. In the evening we had an ice cream social with one of the wards we cover and we got to chat with the and met a lot of people. They also had a ton of left over ice cream so we now have a stash of ice cream at the church whenever we want it.   Thursday we went to this homemade ice cream place in downtown bountiful which as really good ice cream.
