I Totally Forgot It Was Fast Sunday 2/3/2020

On Tuesday we went to a senior center and visited some of the people there. Later, we went and talked to V who was having a bad day. Hopefully we made it better. We were finally able to catch a family home (we have been going by for a couple months to talk to them) and talk to them which was good. At the end they let in their 3 enormous dogs loose inside and they all were super energetic and jumping all over us which was tragic to our nice clothes (RIP). Then we talked to a super chill guy who used to be taught and set up a time to come back. Then we had a short lesson with D, D, and W.

Wednesday I didn't write in my journal so I have no idea what happened

Thursday I went on exchanges with Elder K. I knew him a little bit from when I was down in Woods Cross but we spent the day together and it was a blast! We had a good time talking about nerdy stuff throughout the day. We also had a great discussion about some concerns and questions that I had. Then we went and talked to some people before dinner. One guy we talked to invited us in and told us all about the impeachment hearings and the Beervirus that apparently is a thing (who knew? Not me). After dinner, we stayed and talked about missionary work with the dad of the family we ate with as he was over missionary work in that area.

Friday we went and talked to L and set up a time to come by and have a lesson. Then we went and had a lesson with K and her dad who we had been trying to find a time for a while to sit down with and talked about the Restoration.

Saturday we went with Elder J and K and helped a family move into their new house. We loaded up from their storage unit and took the stuff to their house and helped bring it in. Then we went over and visited J and B and watched a video about addiction and the atonement and talked about it. After dinner, we were walking around and stopped and talked to this guy who works for and has done Demolition Derby and had a nice chat with him about that and other things. Later, one of Elder SH's old companions was in town and took us out and chatted over some Fiiz.

Sunday we went to our 2 sacrament meetings. Both meetings were really good with some really powerful testimonies that were shared. Then we went and had lessons with C and a new person named A. After dinner we went and visted a bunch of people but everyone was either gone or watching the Super Bowl and didn't want to talk to us (I don't blame them too much). Then we went and talked to the friends of some people we are teaching and talked to them about how we can help them.

Miracle of the Week: We invited C to be baptized and she said yes! We only met her last week. On Sunday she didn't want to church but we went by her house and tried to get her to come and she and her mom and said she'd think about it. At the end of the meeting I felt like I should go up and bear my testimony. I did and after the meeting, she came in and had heard my testimony. They came and had appreciated my testimony which was great.

Quote of the Week: “There is absolutely no point in doing missionary work unless we hold on to the fruits of that effort. The two must be inseparable. … Every convert is a great and serious responsibility”

Pictures (Hopefully in order :P)
