Mini-Horses 1/13/2020

This week was weird. We ran into a bunch of people this week who tried to tell us what we believed
which was kinda annoying. I don't try to tell you what you believe. We ask and try to understand where people are coming from and avoid making assumptions. Then people are like you believe this and that and I'm like um no. We don't. Check your facts before you try and tell someone what they believe. This week, make an extra effort to understand what other people think before you open your mouth.

Thursday we had district council in the morning. On highlight was that we talked about the importance of the helping people to read and gain a testimony of the Book of Mormon. That evening we talked to one of our bishops and helped support someone in his interview.

Friday we went and helped T build more of his shelf. After that, we went to a skate park and was there for a little using our bikes on it. In the evening, we had a lesson with C about the Restoration. We showed him the Ask of God video and the spirit was super strong. Then we went to a lesson with W where we read Alma 7 and talked about the Atonement which is one of my favorite topics.

Saturday morning we and 2 other missionaries helped this old lady move a bunch of her furniture around which was a lot of work. Then we helped teach the senior missionaries over our area how to us area book (the missionary planning app). Later in the day, we were walking to an appointment and a member that was driving a party bus asked if we wanted a  ride so we naturally said of course (nobody else was in the bus besides us). We then had 2 consecutive visits with people that tried to bash with us. One guy took a Book of Mormon and said he was going to read it. The other guy, we answered all of his questions and he couldn't answer any of ours but still wouldn't take a Book of Mormon. Oh well.

Sunday was interesting. We went to 2 churches but in between we went to the Roy Bible Church which was down the street. It certainly was an interesting experience. Going there definitely strengthened my testimony of why I am out here serving my mission. Later we watched the Young Adults general broadcast.

Miracle of the Week: This week I prayed a lot to have an increased desire to go out despite the cold and snow and this week I had a unflappable cheery attitude while being outside contacting people.

Quote of the Week: "Ah, the lawyers have returned"

Pictures (hopefully in order):
