Avada Kedavra - 3-9-2020
Tuesday
we had a follow up training meeting where we talked about missionary life and
how to have a good relationship with your companion. We took a generations
picture with my dad, me and my son which was awesome (see below).
Wednesday
we visited V and had a good chat. She has been reading her Book of Mormon
but she said that she is getting her wisdom teeth taken out. Later we had a
lesson with C but we had a little time beforehand so we went and visited
Misty and had a great visit with her. We talked about about her priesthood blessing. We helped her recognize that she had felt the spirit after it. We
went over to C's and when we got there they already had finished the
lesson. Apparently we had wrote the time wrong. If we hadn't wrote the time wrong,
we wouldn't have talked to M. Then since we missed C lesson we went
and visited W and had an awesome lesson. We shared a video with Elder
Holland bearing his testimony. Then we invited her to pray about what we had
talked about previously and the spirit was there super strong.
Thursday
we had District Council and Elder K talked about when we think our area in
a bad way, it will be a self fulfilling prophesy. He also talked about how we
need to change things up once in a while if things aren't working. Then we had
a meeting with a new bishop and that's about it.
Friday
we didn't do much. In the morning, Elder W tried to fix the 11 punctures
in his tires unsuccessfully. While he did that I made some chocolate chip
cookies. We visited some people after dinner before going to Elder K's apartment so Elder W and Elder J could go to a lesson because Elder
K was sick. Then we played yugioh while we waited for our ride to come.
Saturday
we had one lesson cancel after another. Not only did all our lessons cancel but
everyone we tried to visit wasn't there. We did manage to talk to 1 person we
wanted to. On the way to visit someone, we saw 3 flashes of green light (insert
Voldemort joke here) and we kept going and we saw a yard on fire. A power pole
had been broken by a car hitting it. The power went out in the neighborhood
next to our area. It was crazy but the lady driving was okay.
Sunday
we had Stake Conference which was awesome. President Call came as well as Elder
Godoya of the presidency of the 70. They both gave awesome talks and the spirit
was really strong. After we had a lesson with A and we talked about the
Plan of Salvation which went well. Then we had a lesson with W and D.
Miracle
of the Week: it was a couple minutes away from our lesson with A and we
didn't know how we were going to teach her. Right before she got there, and
idea popped in my head and we did it and it worked great.
Quote
of the Week: "Oh look! He's home! Get 'em!"
