Mistakes were made 3/30/2020


This week not much happened so I will just give some highlights.

-We had a great district council where we talked about why we came on a mission and how focusing on that can help us stay positive. When I have been obedient to mission rules and worked hard is when I have had the most joy on my mission.

-We had a good couple lessons with A about some commandments

-I also got to chat with some friends from home which was really awesome and talk about the church and what I believe

-I watched some approved movies including 17 Miracles and only cried 1 time (which I felt pretty good about). I also had a tissue box ready at hand. 

Miracle of the Week: Our Stake President dropped us off food Sunday after we had fasted. I have never appreciated funeral potatoes and the other food we got as much as I did then.

Quote of the Week: "I'm going to draw a skull and crossbones to represent death. That looks like a loaf of bread"

Headed Home! 8-23-2021

I'll be finishing up my mission tomorrow and will be flying home Tuesday. Things came together and J was able to baptized on Sunday. We were so excited and she was super ready to make that covenant. Just another email about conference 4/6/2020

Fun story: I just got a call and I have been called to be a District Leader (in charge of a small group of missionaries) and they added another stake to our area as well. Shout out to Elder K for being a district leader as well!! This week was pretty interesting. The beginning we we didn't have much to do and it was kinda miserable. However, the second half of the week we were like screw it, we are going to work hard because we have nothing else to do. As that happened, we saw that we were both much more happier and a lot less depressed. I we had more lessons with people as well as the chance to talk to some of my friends (y'all) about the church as well which awesome to see them and talk about what brings me happiness. General Conference was Saturday and Sunday and it was fantastic. Last General Conference we were told that this one was going to be not only memorable but unforgettable and boy did they pull out all the stops. Went our church building and watched ...

Handcuffs, a Salon and lots of Ice Cream 7-20-2021

Monday night they had a BBQ across the street and a the police came and did a presentation and gave tours of some of their vehicles. They also would cuff you if you wanted.   Tuesday we crashed a youth activity and the young women were doing a salon so we joined in an get masks and had my toenails painted.    Wednesday we rearranged our bedroom a little to give more space for our beds which ended up working out well. In the evening we had an ice cream social with one of the wards we cover and we got to chat with the and met a lot of people. They also had a ton of left over ice cream so we now have a stash of ice cream at the church whenever we want it.   Thursday we went to this homemade ice cream place in downtown bountiful which as really good ice cream. In the evening we were on a walk to visit people and it started thunder storming which I enjoyed since we haven't had any rain in a couple months and I love thunderstorms.   Friday we had District Coun...
