Freestylin' 4/20/2020
Tuesday
morning we had a call with W and talked about Easter and why it is so
important with her which was fun. She had some really good questions. J (the real way to spell it) was interviewed for her baptism today and passed!
Wednesday we had a lesson with A and reviewed the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We also
had a bunch of meeting with Bishops and some Ward Mission Leaders. We also did
another Facebook live and read Alma 7 which is one of my favorite chapters.
Thursday
we had District Council and the Zone Leaders and the Assistants joined it (my
bosses and my boss's bosses) which was a little freaky but I think it went well.
We also had a lesson with Ai today. She was being taught by missionaries
in our new stake and so we set up a zoom meeting and got to know her and taught
a quick lesson.
Friday
was a bit of a slow day. We set up some things for J's baptism and also had
another Facebook live scripture study. We read from the New Testament and I
didn't have quite as much insight as I normally would but I thought it went
alright. Apparently Elder W's dad watched all of it which was awesome
because he isn't a member.
Saturday
J got baptized!!! It was definitely weird that almost nobody was there in
person but a bunch of people watched over zoom. They had me conduct the meeting
and I was like I have no idea how to do this so I definitely winged it. After
the baptism, a bunch of people from the ward parked in the parking lot and when
J walked outside, the all were honking their horns and stuff to
congratulate her which was awesome. Later we called B and talked to her
about the Book of Mormon.
Sunday
we joined a ward council and talked with them and taught them all a lesson
which was pretty fun. We also had a lesson with this lady who is super awesome
and hopefully we will have another with her soon.
Miracle
of the Week: This week was J's baptism and as we were preparing for that,
we were asking her for some information that we needed in order to for her to
be baptized. I thought that we needed signatures from one source but I asked
J just to be sure and it turned out that we needed signatures from some
completely different people. However, J was able to get those signatures
before her baptism so it could happen as planned.
Quote
of the Week: "Because we aren't perfect, we are going to make decisions
that we regret. I happen to make a lot of those kind of decisions"
