One Year Older But Still Not Wiser 5/4/2020


Tuesday was my 19th birthday! My first birthday while on my mission. It was a little weird but I had a good time. We had a lesson with 2 people over the phone in the morning which went well I think. I opened stuff and had some cake which was so blue that it stains my lips and tongue for the whole day after I have some. We then had other zoom lessons with other people later in the evening.

Wednesday was fairly uneventful. In the evening we were invited to 2 different youth zoom meetings. One we had them teach us about the Plan of Salvation which was pretty fun. The other one, we hopped on and we talked with them about finding ways to serve others while inside and then talking about patience in God's timing and ways.

Thursday we had District Council in the morning. One thing we talked about was how we could have our appointments with people hold better and have them be more effective.

Friday we had a couple lessons with members and had our live facebook scripture study.

Saturday was pretty sweet. We had a mission-wide zoom call and we were told about some exciting changes. One is that our mission will be more than tripling in size by July which is pretty crazy. Our area that we are over is going to be shrunk to probably 1/4 of what it is right now to accommodate all the new missionaries. Also, some of the guidelines regarding quarantine have been lowered which will give us a little more freedom which is exciting! Then we had a call with B and later M which was super awesome.

Sunday morning we had a testimony meeting over zoom with our district (now a group of 8 missionaries). Our only lesson cancelled right before we were about to hit send to send them the zoom link which was disappointing. We called a lot of people letting them know our new guidelines of things we can do.

Miracle of the Week: A is super excited to be baptized now that more people can attend baptisms and we are scheduling her baptism tonight.

Headed Home! 8-23-2021

I'll be finishing up my mission tomorrow and will be flying home Tuesday. Things came together and J was able to baptized on Sunday. We were so excited and she was super ready to make that covenant. Just another email about conference 4/6/2020

Fun story: I just got a call and I have been called to be a District Leader (in charge of a small group of missionaries) and they added another stake to our area as well. Shout out to Elder K for being a district leader as well!! This week was pretty interesting. The beginning we we didn't have much to do and it was kinda miserable. However, the second half of the week we were like screw it, we are going to work hard because we have nothing else to do. As that happened, we saw that we were both much more happier and a lot less depressed. I we had more lessons with people as well as the chance to talk to some of my friends (y'all) about the church as well which awesome to see them and talk about what brings me happiness. General Conference was Saturday and Sunday and it was fantastic. Last General Conference we were told that this one was going to be not only memorable but unforgettable and boy did they pull out all the stops. Went our church building and watched ...

Handcuffs, a Salon and lots of Ice Cream 7-20-2021

Monday night they had a BBQ across the street and a the police came and did a presentation and gave tours of some of their vehicles. They also would cuff you if you wanted.   Tuesday we crashed a youth activity and the young women were doing a salon so we joined in an get masks and had my toenails painted.    Wednesday we rearranged our bedroom a little to give more space for our beds which ended up working out well. In the evening we had an ice cream social with one of the wards we cover and we got to chat with the and met a lot of people. They also had a ton of left over ice cream so we now have a stash of ice cream at the church whenever we want it.   Thursday we went to this homemade ice cream place in downtown bountiful which as really good ice cream.
