A Triumphant Return 5-28-2020


Not much happened Tuesday.

Wednesday was pretty exctiting. In the morning we got to go and drop off Elder Wa in his new area. He got transferred to Woods Cross! Not the same part of it that I was in but just next to it. It was super fun to be there again and reminisce on being there (Elder We is still there and has been for over a year now). Then we came back and then went with Elder K to the mission office so he could drop off his car. Later we went and picked up my new companion! His name is Elder G and he was reassigned from South Korea after being there for 17 months.

Thursday we had District Council. We talked about 5 L's (love, legacy, leadership, learning, loyalty) and how they applied to us. Later in the evening we had an orientation at the mission office for Elder G which was supposed to be an hour but went almost 2 hours and we had to reschedule a bunch of appointments.

Friday we did service with Brother B doing yardwork for an older couple. We did that for an hour and the quickly changed for Interviews with President Call then ran back and did more service. We also ran to the mission office because Elder G left his phone there on Thursday.

Saturday we had a meeting with B and talked about the Preisthood with her and the sister missionaries. Later we had a meeting with M where we talked about one of my favorite talks given by Elder Holland and talked about how peace comes from God to us by the Holy Ghost.


Sunday church started up again! We had a meeting so we couldn't go but we are going next week!.

Miracle of the Week: We had a lesson with a member and challenged them to invite one of their friends to learn more about the church and they did! We were able to meet A their neighbor Sunday and start teaching her and we have another meeting scheduled this week.

Quote of the Week: "We met her 2 minutes ago and she leaps into her life story about all the problems she has and such."

Headed Home! 8-23-2021

I'll be finishing up my mission tomorrow and will be flying home Tuesday. Things came together and J was able to baptized on Sunday. We were so excited and she was super ready to make that covenant. Just another email about conference 4/6/2020

Fun story: I just got a call and I have been called to be a District Leader (in charge of a small group of missionaries) and they added another stake to our area as well. Shout out to Elder K for being a district leader as well!! This week was pretty interesting. The beginning we we didn't have much to do and it was kinda miserable. However, the second half of the week we were like screw it, we are going to work hard because we have nothing else to do. As that happened, we saw that we were both much more happier and a lot less depressed. I we had more lessons with people as well as the chance to talk to some of my friends (y'all) about the church as well which awesome to see them and talk about what brings me happiness. General Conference was Saturday and Sunday and it was fantastic. Last General Conference we were told that this one was going to be not only memorable but unforgettable and boy did they pull out all the stops. Went our church building and watched ...

Handcuffs, a Salon and lots of Ice Cream 7-20-2021

Monday night they had a BBQ across the street and a the police came and did a presentation and gave tours of some of their vehicles. They also would cuff you if you wanted.   Tuesday we crashed a youth activity and the young women were doing a salon so we joined in an get masks and had my toenails painted.    Wednesday we rearranged our bedroom a little to give more space for our beds which ended up working out well. In the evening we had an ice cream social with one of the wards we cover and we got to chat with the and met a lot of people. They also had a ton of left over ice cream so we now have a stash of ice cream at the church whenever we want it.   Thursday we went to this homemade ice cream place in downtown bountiful which as really good ice cream.
