A Walk In The Park 8-10-2020

Not much happened on Tuesdsay. I was exhausted from Pday so I was pretty tired and sore all day. I did make spicy beans and rice which turned out well. We had a bunch of lessons which was nice. We had a meeting with a bishop who was very impressed with us. He said that though we sometimes feel like we aren't doing anything, we are doing things that have never been done before and are like the first missionaries who often felt like they were failing. Although in lots of ways we are doing things wrong, we are learning things for the future missionaries which was really nice to hear.

Wednesday we had District Council and talked about how we can make lessons not boring for us and for the people we teach so we can keep up out energy and excitement. After we had cinnamon rolls that some sister missionaries had brought. At the end of one of our lessons we mentioned that Jesus loves us and is our brother and a little girl there's eyes went huge and she asked does God too? When we said yes, her eyes got even bigger and she was so happy which was awesome.

Thursday we had service with a lady picking up pine needles from her back yard (picking up pine needles is really annoyingly hard). I wanted to "accidently" drop a match and burn all the needles to make things go faster. We also had a couple lesson with some youth which was interesting to talk to people fairly close to our age. We also called M and talked about 1 Nephi 19.

Friday our service cancelled as did half of our lessons. We did go on a walk in the evening (though not late enough where it would be cooler unfortunately) and we ran into someone who asked us when church was because he had moved in recently. We also had a correlation meeting with the Starkweathers which was a good time as always.

Saturday we had an in person lesson with K and talked about Tithing and Fasting. I am super excited for his baptism on Saturday!

Sunday we had a bunch of meetings and lessons with people. We were pretty much busy from 9 am to about 9pm which was nice but exhausting. We did have a scripture study with a young couple and the wife reminds me a lot of Brenda which is awesome.

Miracle of the Week: We have an amazing  Stake President! We got a call from our Stake President and he wants to start having regularly scheduled meetings which is super awesome.

Quote of the Week: "We are just waiting for my mom to die. We haven't put the pillow over her head yet"

Pictures (hopefully in order):

1. A face mask to help moisturize my skin or something along those lines

2-3. Minigolf
