Q&A With An Apostle!!!!! 12-14-2020





I'm feeling pretty lazy today so this will be a shorter email.

Some highlights were:

1. We delivered some Chick-fil-a to the district since they were low on food and couldn't buy any (due to quarentine)

2. A couple days ago for Light the World we delivered brownies and fudge to our district (as well as some mail)

3. We filmed our video on Saturday which was lots of fun. We had to pick some locks to get some things we needed but we put everything back afterwards. I will post it on Facebook when we get it edited. It was a blast to do though.

4. District Council I finally was able to get to something I had wanted to talk about the last 3 or 4 weeks.

5. We had a mission wide question and answer with Elder RONALD A RASBAND. For anyone who doesn't know who that is, he is an Apostle of Jesus Christ which is pretty dope. He answered questions we had and it was super awesome! He invited us to open the "sealed section" of the scriptures (the topical guide) and use that to study Jesus Christ. He told us that if we did, we would come to know Christ bettter. As that happened, we would come to love Him more and want to serve Him with all our hearts. His testimony was super powerful and we left on cloud nine afterwards.

Headed Home! 8-23-2021

I'll be finishing up my mission tomorrow and will be flying home Tuesday. Things came together and J was able to baptized on Sunday. We were so excited and she was super ready to make that covenant. Just another email about conference 4/6/2020

Fun story: I just got a call and I have been called to be a District Leader (in charge of a small group of missionaries) and they added another stake to our area as well. Shout out to Elder K for being a district leader as well!! This week was pretty interesting. The beginning we we didn't have much to do and it was kinda miserable. However, the second half of the week we were like screw it, we are going to work hard because we have nothing else to do. As that happened, we saw that we were both much more happier and a lot less depressed. I we had more lessons with people as well as the chance to talk to some of my friends (y'all) about the church as well which awesome to see them and talk about what brings me happiness. General Conference was Saturday and Sunday and it was fantastic. Last General Conference we were told that this one was going to be not only memorable but unforgettable and boy did they pull out all the stops. Went our church building and watched ...

Handcuffs, a Salon and lots of Ice Cream 7-20-2021

Monday night they had a BBQ across the street and a the police came and did a presentation and gave tours of some of their vehicles. They also would cuff you if you wanted.   Tuesday we crashed a youth activity and the young women were doing a salon so we joined in an get masks and had my toenails painted.    Wednesday we rearranged our bedroom a little to give more space for our beds which ended up working out well. In the evening we had an ice cream social with one of the wards we cover and we got to chat with the and met a lot of people. They also had a ton of left over ice cream so we now have a stash of ice cream at the church whenever we want it.   Thursday we went to this homemade ice cream place in downtown bountiful which as really good ice cream.
