Legends Never Die - 2-8-2021

Tuesday we had a couple of appointments with people that people that we didn't know were members.
It was pretty funny and we were able to have good conversations with them. We also wrote a note introducing ourselves and leaving our number on a paper and left it and some oreos on a door of someone we hope to start teaching. We had a lesson with H and K and talked about the Priesthood and the Sacrament.

Wednesday we were able to go on a dog walk (I failed to take pictures since we ran out of time and had to rush back). On the way back we were running to work him (the dog) out. As we were running, he went on one side of the railing and I went on the other and he got clotheslined by the leash. He was okay but we were laughing and were like why did you go that way. Afterwards we had exchanges with the Zone Leaders.

Thursday we had Zone Conference which was really good. We had a really good conversation about different ways of receiving light and revelation from God. During it I had the thought that sometimes God doesn't give us the whole picture at once because He knows we aren't ready for it. He knows we aren't ready to be accountable for that knowledge yet so He waits till we are able to recieve and be able to act on the knowledge. Another thing that was brought up was that when our prayers are answered our faith is strengthened, when our prayers are not answered our faith CAN be perfected. Notice the CAN. If we endure and hold on while not receiving an answer right away when we do get the answer we seek or get another response (which will be even better for us that what we wanted) it is even more powerful. After Zone Conference we went on a walk with a Elders Quorum Councilor and visited some people which was lots of fun to do.

Friday we had ZLC where all the district leaders in the zone get together with the Zone Leaders and plan for the zone. It was a lot of fun to see the other district leaders and have a good time hanging out with them. Later we did some service helping someone put things in the dumpster from their bathroom remodel.

Saturday we had another walk with a different Elders Quorum Councilor and we went around and tried to meet people and offer service to people. One house we visited the keys were in the door lock and we were like hello, your keys are in the door. It was kinda a weird situation.

Sunday we had lots of meetings as normal. We had some people come to church which we were super happy about! We also attended the missionary prep class when we were in the car which was pretty funny. We didn't have much happen in the evening due to people being busy watching the super bowl. We also had a mission wide zoom call in the evening which was pretty spicy.

Miracle of the Week: We got a call Tuesday from the Assistants that they were going to take my car to give it to another missionary. When the Zone Leaders heard they called the Assistants and asked that I could keep the car but they said nope. They said we needed to turn it in by Wednesday. I was very bummed because it would make it harder to get around to our appointments. Even worse, it would make it a lot harder to visit the members of the district and take food to them and things. This would really isolate them since they live up in the mountains far away from other missionaries and unable to go out to eat or see people much which worried me. Wednesday afternoon we were about to leave to drop the car off we got a call from the Assistants. They told us we were keeping the car and we were so excited.

Quote of the Week: "They look good until they take the mask off. It's like real life clickbait"
