West Point & Pedicures 3-15-2021
Notice: Anyone who wants to update what email I send this to just respond (just to me) and let me know what email to change to.
Monday we got the news I was getting transferred so we got Fiiz and delivered it to all the district to say goodbye.
Tuesday we had transfers! I got transferred to south Bountiful. My new companion is Elder H who I was his district leader 2 months ago and is super fun to be with. He is from Buffalo NY and went to West Point for a couple years before serving his mission. Most of Tuesday was caught up finishing packing and moving.
Wednesday morning we got a call in the morning and someone asked for some help and helped move some stuff around for him. At the end he got a call from a friend and while chatting with him he mentioned that we where there and asked if he wanted us to pray for him. The guy said no but I thought it was so cool that he did that and it wasn't a big deal at all. He asked for a blessing and I did the anointing of oil for the blessing. As I did so, I felt a rush of power from the Holy Ghost which was really nice to feel since I haven't given any blessings in a while because of Covid.
Thursday we had some service helping out in the yard for someone. As we were walking over there, it started to snow which was hilarious but we went anyways and she thought we were crazy but we still did it anyways.
Friday we had District Council and the whole thing was just our District Leader asking us questions about first ourselves than questions about who Jesus is to us and finally about the process of conversion. It was really good to see everyone's perspectives and feelings about things.
Saturday morning we went and tested the keys that we have to see what they go to. While we were there, people started showing up. One couple started following us around which was hilarious when they found out that we weren't there for the event and they were. We also got a bunch of invites to Ward Councils since the Stake President stressed doing that to them. The problem was that most of them were at the exact same time so we had figure out how to get to as many as possible. We had a good lesson with the family of someone we are teaching. We talked about having patience and how that helps us in all parts of our lives but especially as we wait on the Lord.
Sunday we ended up going to 4 Ward Councils along with 3 sacrament meetings. Not too much else. The zone leaders stopped by since they wanted to meet me and Elder H which was pretty funny since they seemed a little scared of us. I'm not THAT scary looking.
Miracle of the Week: Wednesday evening we felt like we should call one of the YW presidents about someone and when she picked up the phone she asked where we were and if we were coming. Apparently Elder H had forgot that we were supposed to be there with them at their activity because of transfer craziness. We hopped on our bikes and raced uphill to the church they were at. When we got there we could barely speak which was funny but it went well and we had a good time.
