RIP Teenagerhood 5-3-2021

Tuesday we were invited to play pickleball with a ward mission leader and someone we hope to start teaching which was pretty funny. The ward mission leader was clearly way better than anyone of us but we had a good time. After that we ran home, changed and went to a lesson with someone we are teaching. He feels peace and comfort when he reads the book of mormon but isn't recognizing that that is an answer from the spirit to some of his questions which was a little frustrating. Other than that I can't complain too much.

Wednesday I completed my journey through teenagerhood and turned 20. My first birthday present was my second covid vaccine shot which we felt the effects of later that day. Also, Elder and Sister Starkweather, a senior couple I served with in Roy, drove down and took my companion out for lunch and we had excellent Philly Cheesesteaks. We went on a walk with some ward missionaries which was a lot of fun.

Thursday we were absolutely destroyed by the vaccine. I was super drowsy and low energy and my companion was dizzy, had nausea, lightheaded and tired.

Friday we were feeling a little better so we went to the service we had scheduled. We were doing very light work and after 45 minutes we were exhasted and went home and slept.

Saturday we went to service in the morning again and this time survived. We moved concrete blocks and then later took a bunch of metal junk to the dump with the Elders Quorum President.

Sunday we had our meetings and found out that someone we are teaching was in jail which was really crazy.

Quote of the Week: "Try not to be stupid"

Miracle of the Week: We were able to get fully vaccinated. It is clear to see the hand of God in the pace that the vaccine was developed and made available.

Pictures (hopefully in order):

1. Llama gift

2. Birthday cheers
