Monday
night they had a BBQ across the street and a the police came and did a
presentation and gave tours of some of their vehicles. They also would cuff you
if you wanted.
Tuesday
we crashed a youth activity and the young women were doing a salon so we joined
in an get masks and had my toenails painted.
Wednesday
we rearranged our bedroom a little to give more space for our beds which ended
up working out well. In the evening we had an ice cream social with one of the
wards we cover and we got to chat with the and met a lot of people. They also
had a ton of left over ice cream so we now have a stash of ice cream at the
church whenever we want it.
Thursday
we went to this homemade ice cream place in downtown bountiful which as really
good ice cream. In the evening we were on a walk to visit people and it started
thunder storming which I enjoyed since we haven't had any rain in a couple months
and I love thunderstorms.
Friday
we had District Council which was good. We got to know everyone since most of
the district is new before talking about what consecration means and how it
applies to us as missionaries. Afterwards we grabbed fiiz and chatted a little.
In the evening we got a call while making dinner about service ASAP so we
finished eating and biked to the top of our area and moved around 100
cinderblocks.
Saturday
we helped one of our neighbors work on one of his cars. We also helped clean up
and organize the garage. We also went on a verbal walk with a couple who were
older and chatted about the area around where they lived. We also let Hope (our
landlords dog) out right before bed and ran her around so she would be tired
wouldn't get up and bark at 2am.
Sunday
we had our 3 sacrament meetings. We had a lot of youth speakers since a couple
wards had just had youth conference or young men's or young women's camp. It
was awesome to hear the powerful testimonies of the youth. We had a walk with
our high councilor over missionary work who is super awesome and we got to meet
some people who were outside.
Miracle
of the Week: it has been 100° almost every day this week but there were
multiple times when we had a walk or service where we had a cloud cover the sun
for our walk or service so it wasn't too bad outside before moving after we
finished.
