Hit And Ran πŸš—πŸ’₯πŸššπŸš” 6-7-2021

Tuesday we had transfers and Elder H got transferred out. I stayed and my new companion is Elder S who is from North Pole, Alaska. Transfers took forever so we didn't end up getting people moved until about 3:30. After dinner we had a walk with a member of our stake presidency and we met some of his neighbors and chatted with them. Later we went with our landlord to someone we hope to start teaching soon and their sprinkler system was not working so we (and by we it was mostly our landlord) fixed it.

Wednesday we tried to give the car to the missionaries who were assigned to it but they didn't have their tiwi card yet (allows them to drive missionary vehicles) so we took them to take the test to get one before taking them home. We later went on a walk and met a couple where the wife has cancer and we talked to them and asked them if they needed anything. We had a good visit with them and they were super nice.

Thursday we walked outside to actually take the car to the other missionaries and when we walked outside we saw a couple of our neighbors outside near our car. They came over and told we just missed a moving truck back into the car and drive away. They called to police and we had to wait for him to show up. One of our neighbors tracked down the truck and found it and told the cop where it was and he went and talked to them. Our car was still road legal so once we got their info we went and gave the car to the other missionaries.

Friday we had Multidistrict Council and we talked more about teaching like Christ and asking inspired questions. We broke out into districts and did some roleplays practicing doing that which was fun. In the evening we had a meeting with couple people from one of our ward's and gave a tutorial about how to use a document helping us know who people in the ward know. After we had a lesson with someone we are teaching over the phone and it went well. We talked about Christ's teaching that "by their fruits ye shall know them". We talked about how if something brings us peace and happiness and also brings us closer to Christ then that thing is good and invited them to reflect on what we had taught and see what the effects of those teachings were.

Saturday and Sunday I wasn't feeling well so we stayed inside and rested aside from our meetings over zoom.

Quote of the Week: "we responded to letters to Santa in English class"

Miracle of the Week: Also on Tuesday we had a walk with our stake president. When we got to his house, we say him outside talking to one of his neighbors. That neighbor was one of the people he wanted us to meet who "happened" to be outside. We were able to meet him and introduce ourselves. While talking to him another person who lived nearby who we also wanted to meet walked by and we got to chat with him as well.

Pictures (hopefully in order):
