Procrastination Leads to Disaster 7-26-2021

 I procrastinated this email so you get a shortie.

 

Highlights:

- Bought a nice blender for 40 bucks

- Set up some exciting lessons

- Had pioneer day fireworks

- Had a dry margarita (see below)

- Helped set up a garage sale

- Had a great zone conference 

- Helped watch landlords dog which pooped on the floor in their house (not in ours 😅)

- Talked to people who we haven't been able to get in contact with

- Chatted with the Salt Lake City Mission President who was super cool

The Best Mission In The Universe Or Any Others 9/30/2019

  Hold on to your hats, things are going to get wild. Tuesday morning we went and did service for M again (the lady across from the Gs). We helped prepare her yard for winter some more and when we were done with that, we went and helped the Gs with their yard as well. They fed us lunch and we talked about who they are teaching. Later we had a lesson with R. This time her husband and son were there as well as B. B called his friend that spoke Tagolog to help teach her. R then decided that she likes speaking english rather than Tagolog which was kinda awkward but oh well. We taught her the Restoration and we showed them a video of the First Vision. We then shared our testimonies of the First Vision and the Restoration. Every time we show the First Vision video, I feel the spirit testifying that the First Vision did happen.  I totally forgot to write in my journal for Wednesday so I don't have a ton about what happened then. 20 Minutes of Fresh Milk 9/24/2019

I don't know where I left off last week so last Monday I went shopping and bought a bunch of food. After Pday ended, we went to an FHE with the people in the branch (mini congregation). Tuesday we went and did service for a lady across from the Gs (senior missionary couple). We ended up not having much to do but she gave us $20  to go buy lunch. As we were walking back home, an old guy stopped us and we talked to him for a long time. He spoke most of the time and gave us his life story. We get that a lot. He lived alone and was lonely. He was super nice though and had an organ in his house which was cool. With the $20  we were given, we manged to buy lunch and dinner for both of us. If I live in Utah, I will have to spoil the missionaries to pay back everything that I have been given. We had another lesson with R and taught him the 10 commandments and the Law of Chastity. Crash and Burn 11/18/2019

Tuesday morning we had a meeting with our district. President McConkie came and talked about the importance of sharing the Restoration which was awesome. After, we did service in this lady's backyard. We later had a lesson with L and some of his recent convert relatives where we talked about the restoration and the miracle that was the coming forth of the Book of Mormon. After that, there was a relief society event going on and we dropped in for a little bit. While we were getting hot chocolate, a lady came up to us and she told us that she worked in the missionary department and we had a good conversation with her about the recent changes and missionary work in Utah. Wednesday I failed to write much in my journal so this is what I have. In the morning we went to the food bank. Another pair of Elders showed up that weren't supposed to be there so they got booted out by the boss there which was pretty funny. After that they had some steak that they couldn't give out...
