No Title - 11/25/19


Tuesday morning we had district council and afterwards we gave Elder C a blessing. He has
Bronchitis and aint nobody got time for that. After lunch we went and helped set up the Gs Christmas lights. we also got a Christmas tree from a member who got a new one and didn't want theirs anymore.

Wednesday we went to the food pantry and sorted food for a while. Then we ate and watched more the Face to Face with Elder Gong. We had the Stake Youth Activity that we have been working on for a while. We talked about things that we wish we knew before our missions and then answered a bunch of their questions. That was a lot of fun and some people said they really appreciated the things we said.

Elder C's Bronchitis turned into Pneumonia and so Elder G went with me to a lesson with a girl named Gracie while Elder W stayed with Elder C. We talked about who Jesus Christ is and about why he is so important to all of us. After dinner we talked about the Restoration with the family and Elder W read part of Joseph Smith's account. The spirit was there super strong testifying to us that it was true. Later we had a meeting with one of the Elders Quorum Presidents watched the new Christ Child video which we got early access to as missionaries (look it up if you haven't seen it).


Friday we visited a widower in one of our wards and had a great conversation about him and his life and then about the Restoration and how the Restoration separates us from all other churches. For dinner we ate with a widow and a widower. They were super funny and bantered back and forth the whole time. When we got back to one of their houses we had a great discussion about the importance of temple attendance especially with the temple being 10 minutes away. We then had a lesson with R about the Temple and baptisms for the dead. He also asked us for advice for a lesson he was giving in church and we helped with that. Then we visited an couple who's parents had died a couple days earlier.


Saturday I didn't write in my journal so who knows what happened...

Sunday we went to the branch and for the first time in the history of the branch, the sacrament was passed by all Aaronic Preisthood holders which was super cool. R did that for the first time. Then after church he got a temple recommend and we are trying to set up a time to go with him to the temple. We then went on splits with the Zone Leaders. Elder B and I went to a lesson with Rw and Elders W and L had a lesson. Our lesson with RW went super well. She committed to keep the Word of Wisdom and Brother B committed to pray to know that the Word of Wisdom was God's will for him. The Spirit was there super strongly as we invited them to do those things.




Miracle of the week: My gloves fell out of my pocket and we said a prayer and found them in the dark.

Headed Home! 8-23-2021

I'll be finishing up my mission tomorrow and will be flying home Tuesday. Things came together and J was able to baptized on Sunday. We were so excited and she was super ready to make that covenant. Just another email about conference 4/6/2020

Fun story: I just got a call and I have been called to be a District Leader (in charge of a small group of missionaries) and they added another stake to our area as well. Shout out to Elder K for being a district leader as well!! This week was pretty interesting. The beginning we we didn't have much to do and it was kinda miserable. However, the second half of the week we were like screw it, we are going to work hard because we have nothing else to do. As that happened, we saw that we were both much more happier and a lot less depressed. I we had more lessons with people as well as the chance to talk to some of my friends (y'all) about the church as well which awesome to see them and talk about what brings me happiness. General Conference was Saturday and Sunday and it was fantastic. Last General Conference we were told that this one was going to be not only memorable but unforgettable and boy did they pull out all the stops. Went our church building and watched ...

Handcuffs, a Salon and lots of Ice Cream 7-20-2021

Monday night they had a BBQ across the street and a the police came and did a presentation and gave tours of some of their vehicles. They also would cuff you if you wanted.   Tuesday we crashed a youth activity and the young women were doing a salon so we joined in an get masks and had my toenails painted.    Wednesday we rearranged our bedroom a little to give more space for our beds which ended up working out well. In the evening we had an ice cream social with one of the wards we cover and we got to chat with the and met a lot of people. They also had a ton of left over ice cream so we now have a stash of ice cream at the church whenever we want it.   Thursday we went to this homemade ice cream place in downtown bountiful which as really good ice cream.
